A "Me Day"

I was on a four day retreat for school (from Tuesday to Friday) and it really helped me to reflect on myself, my priorities, and my life in general. I got back last night at 6 and have spent all day having a "me day". I bought take-out Chinese, Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, and sat down to watch Monte Carlo this fine evening all alone at my sisters house (my parents are out of town and I didn't want to stay home alone for two weeks). It's been lovely. I urge you to make sure you take a day off from your crazy, busy life and just spend it pampering yourself, even if it's by going out and buying a few magazines and sipping Starbucks.

You deserve it.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas...

I'm staying with my sister this week and helped her decorate the house. I just love how it all looks warm and homey.

I hope you're getting in the Christmas spirit!

Cause It's Witchcraft, Wicked Witchcraft...

"... and although i know it's strictly taboooooo."
A little Frank Sinatra for you this Halloween night. I spent my time with my sister and her husband at their house watching Hocus Pocus, drinking tea, and helping pass out candy to eager Trick-or-Treaters.

J'aime que la musique française

I have been listening to a Spotify playlist called "1920s French Music" for the past three days. I got into the mood after watching The Devil Wears Prada (which reminds me, I need to add Funny Face to my Christmas list!) and re watched the Paris scene about 20 times just because. So now i have a love for Edith Piaf, especially the song La Vie En Rose.

It's very much different from my normal music selections, but c'est la vie!

au revoir.

Christmas List [Part1]

My mother has told me to start creating my list now, so I have decided to write some of it. I have been the worst at making list since I have started getting older because I find less things I need that are a reasonable price for other people to buy for me. If I ever wanted to get Chanel's $32 lipstick, I would save up and buy it myself because I didn't want my mother to have to pay (since it's a lot of money to me at least). So I try not to put things like that on my list, which makes this difficult for me. Plus, if I just ask for clothes, generally, I get things that I probably will never wear and so they will have the tag remain on for years to come (believe me, if you have been fortunate enough to have not experienced this dilemma, it happens). So here is the beginning of my list.

1. The Hollow Crown Series
I am a huge history buff so this is definitely
on my list. The fact that my favorite actor
(Tom Hiddleston who plays Henry V) is
also a nice little bonus!
2. Jewelry Box

I have had the same jewelry box since sixth grade.
Since I am on the verge of going to college, I do\
believe it is time for an upgrade (my mother agrees).
3. Laptop
I'm the youngest of four kids and when my siblings were
seniors in high school they received laptops for Christmas,
so this is me hoping to finally get my own laptop (no more
sharing!)
4. Once Upon A Time season 1 and 2
I am in love with all things Disney and love
ABC's rendition of the classic stories. It's
my guilty pleasure on Sunday nights!

That's probably enough for the time being. I'll continue it later.
Have a lovely day sweeties.

The Beginning

Hello to all you readers and fellow fashion feeders,
My name is Heather and i'm from a small city that most people in the world know as the epicenter for fried chicken and horse racing. I'm a high school senior with a love for fashion and a new found confidence to wear more than the cookie cutter jeans and a sweatshirt ensemble that girls my age in this city sport every day. I have spent the last few years collecting clothes that i longed to wear but never did for fear of being judged. Well no more. This is my blog to journal what i wear and what i love.

Let's begin.
